You don’t have to be the John Lewis ‘man in the moon’ to feel a bit blue at Christmas Time. Downsizing and moving to a new area can leave you feeling a bit out of sorts leading up to Christmas. There are so many benefits: closer to family, lovely snug new home, but you’re further from old friends, there doesn’t seem to be enough space for jolly decorations and where would a Christmas tree fit?
…..And did the decorations survive the move?
What’s the point?
It seems that Christmas time can be lonely for anyone living on their own and having their first downsized Christmas. We suddenly realized that this was happening under own noses. We had a Christmas SOS and it’s worked. A gentle nudge and we’re all back in the swing of things.
